Informal discussion of the IPCC AR6 Summary for Policy Makers

Notes:

I will lead an informal discussion of the IPCC AR6 Summary for Policy Makers by the working group on the physical basis of climate change.  The goal is to be familiar with the state-of-the-art on the large scale climate change; what are latest models are predicting, and what is the message we want people in power to know.  While the summary is quite concise, there's a still a lot of material here: the figures present the main story.  We could also talk a bit about how to communicate climate change to people outside our field, where I find their is tension between communicating the uncertainty that consumes us as scientists, vs. giving a fair picture of what we do know, which is more than enough to merit decisive action.
