Lateral-propagation permitting gravity wave parameterizations

Synopsis:

This is going to be a fairly informal talk in which I present the ultimate goal of my research — making a gravity wave parameterization that permits gravity wave momentum deposition to occur at positions other than directly over the source — and then talk about several possible approaches to reach this goal. I’m still trying to figure out which approach is most interesting and promising, so feedback is welcome.
