Ocean Emulation: What we target in training and what we end up with in evaluation

Synopsis:

My talk today is going to give a high level overview of considerations I make in constructing ocean emulators. I will then give an overview of previous work as well as some exploration I have done over the past couple of months that helped narrow my focus in trying to gain some understanding of emulators perform with and without access to atmospheric forcings. I will end with an overview of my current research direction and the experiments I plan to conduct over the next month.
