Isentropic Circulation and Mass Transport in the Atmosphere

Synopsis:

I'll be giving an overview/a bit of history on different frameworks forthinking about general circulation of the atmosphere, and some of thequestions which informed the choices in frameworks. The focus will be onbaroclinic instability in the midlatitudes and the mass flux in isentropiccoordinates.
